n ARMTHORPE: A man was left £120 out of pocket after admitting cannabis possession. Shaun Foley, 21, of Mansfield Crescent, was fined £65 and ordered to pay court costs following the offence on Christmas Eve.
n HARWORTH: A thief with a sweet tooth is behind bars after stealing £100 of confectionery. Michael Glister, 27, of Rutland Crescent, admitted taking the sweets on January 21 from DHL Logisitcs. Glister was handed a four week sentence and ordered to serve an additional 12 week suspended sentence that was activated following the theft.
n bentley: A thief could not out run police despite stealing training shoes. Jurijs Aleksejewvs, 29, of The Homestead, is behind bars for four weeks after he admitted taking the £29.98 shoes on February 27 from TK Maxx.
n bennetthorpe: A wine thief was left with a £65 tab after admitting stealing from Marks and Spencer. Lisa Martin, 34, of Belle Vue, took the £5.99 bottle of wine on March 2.
n wheatley: A man has been made the subject of a community order after admitting causing criminal damage to a door. Malcolm Ions, 41, of Queens Road, caused £200 of damage to the door on March 3 and has been ordered to comply with an eight-week curfew order and pay £200 in compensation as part of his punishment.
n mexborough: Causing suffering to a rabbit has resulted in a Mexborough man being banned from keeping caged animals for two years. Liam Martin Bishell, 24, of Chapel Street, admitted cruelty to a rabbit called Marbles between November 17 and December 8 last year by failing to provide a proper diet for the animal. Bishell was also ordered to pay £265.
