CCTV released as police hunt thief who broke into van in Doncaster village

Police have issued CCTV pictures of a man they want to speak to after a council van had a window broken and tools stolen, in a Doncaster village.

The break-in happened on Church Road, in Kirk Sandall on Thursday March 25, when a window was smashed and tools taken from inside.

A police spokesman said: “Officers investigating the theft of tools from a council van in Doncaster have released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

“It is reported that at around 1pm on Thursday 25 March, the victim had parked his vehicle on Church Road in Kirk Sandall, when the window was smashed, and tools stolen from inside.

“A black Renault Megane is reported to have been seen in the area at the time of the incident.”

“Enquiries are continuing and officers have now released CCTV footage of a man they think could hold vital information.”
