CCTV image released in connection with four Doncaster knifepoint robberies

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to four knifepoint robberies that have taken place across the borough over the last two weeks.

The most recent robbery took place just after 6.50pm on Saturday (August 16), when officers were called to Brookfield Filling Station, Hampole Balk Lane, Skellow following reports of a robbery.

A man entered the shop carrying a knife and demanded money from the cashier.

The staff member handed money over and the man left the shop in the direction of Skellow.

The man was white, in his early 40s, short and of stocky build, with dark hair that was balding. He was wearing a dark jacket with a hood.

Police believe this incident may be linked to other similar incidents in the area.

At around 9.20pm on Saturday August, 9 a man entered Bargain Booze, Great North Road, Woodland carrying a knife and demanded money.

Cash and cigarettes were stolen.

A similar incident occurred at Bargain Booze at Station Road, Thurnscoe at 9pm on Monday August, 11 where cash was stolen.

A man entered the One Stop Shop, Skellow on Wednesday August, 13 at 9.15pm and threatened staff.

Cash was stolen and the offender was seen to drive away in a small silver car.
