Burglars attacked a Doncaster supermarket in the early hours of the morning.

Thieves broke into the Co-op store at the Nostel Place pedestrian precinct in Bessacarr in the early hours of Satuday morning, April 11.

The shop has now re-opened after the break-in.

Police were called out to the scene and are currently investigating the raid, which happened at around 2am.

A police spokesman said: “It is reported that three offenders forced entry into the address by forcing open the shutters. An unknown quantity of cigarettes are reported to have been stolen.

“Anyone with any information which could help our officers in their investigation is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 101 of 11 April.”

Nostel Place is a pedestrianised shopping precinct in Bessacarr, with a number of shops and a church based there. It is also close to a large housing estate
