BREAKING: Second prisoner absconds from Doncaster prison in less than a week

South Yorkshire Police are seeking to trace Darrell Roy Burbeary, who absconded from HMP Hatfield in Doncaster at around 7.20pm yesterday evening (Sunday, June 15)

The 43-year-old was sentenced to 30 months imprisonment for burglary last year.

Burbeary is the second prisoner to abscond from the open prison in less than a week.

He is white, around 6ft 2ins tall and of a thin build.

He has short dark hair and, when he was last seen, Burbeary was wearing a black Adidas top, dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

Burbeary is originally from the Heeley area of Sheffield and officers believe he may be making his way back to the city, although he could be anywhere in the UK.

He is not thought to be dangerous, although members of the public have been advised not to approach him.
