Boys, 15 and 17, arrested on suspicion of Doncaster murder

Two boys, aged 15 and 17, are in police custody today after being arrested on suspicion of murder.

The teens were arrested last night in connection with the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Lewis Williams, who was gunned down in Wath Road, Mexborough, on Monday, January 11.

A post mortem examination revealed Lewis was shot in his neck and face.

Medics battled to revive him in the street but he was pronounced dead at the scene.Yesterday's arrests bring the number made so far to 10, with four suspects charged.

Jack Parkes, 20, of Arnold Crescent, Doncaster; Ryan Nisbet, 20, of Springwood Road, Barnsley and two boys, aged 16 and 17-years-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are all charged with murder.All four are currently remanded in custody ahead of court hearings.

Anyone with information about the murder should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 495 of January 11.
