Arrest made over Doncaster hammer attack video circulating on Facebook

The clip has been circulating on social media over the last few days and shows a man having a hammer held to his face before being punched.

The footage was filmed on a mobile phone but it is not clear when and where the clip was filmed.

Other disturbing footage shows the man being kicked by a group of other men.

A force spokesman said: “South Yorkshire Police are aware of a video being circulated which appears to show a male being threatened with a hammer and assaulted.

“We can confirm that an arrest has been made in relation to this, and the victim has been identified and spoken with.”

The video has been viewed thousands of times.
