Appeal for wanted man over South Yorkshire death threats accusation

Police are today searching for a wanted South Yorkshire man who is accused of making threats to kill.

Officers in Barnsley have put out an appeal to the public to help them trace wanted man, Michael Clegg.

Clegg, 38 from Darfield, is wanted in connection with an assault and reportedly making threats to kill. The incident is said to have happened in Goldthorpe in the early hours of 28 June.

Clegg is 5ft 9ins tall, of slim build and has links to Mexborough, in Doncaster

Police are appealing to find Michael Clegg

A police spokesman said: “If you see Clegg, please do not approach him but instead call 101. If you have any other information about where he might be, please call 101 quoting incident number 139 of 28 June.

“You can also give information to independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously via their website, or by calling their UK contact centre on 0800 555 111.”
