Action taken against a dozen nuisance bikers in police operation near M18 in Doncaster

A dozen nuisance bikers faced action when police arrived to find them riding on land near the M18 at Doncaster.

Officers from the South Yorkshire Police off-road biking team visited the site, which was on land owned by the Highways Agency, at the side of the M18 near Hatfield, as part of an operation by the force on August 2.

Officers say the site is often used by off-road bikers.

Insp Alison Carr, from the Doncaster East nrighbourhood policing team, said: “At least 10 bikers/bikes were issued with warnings for anti social behaviour whilst using the bikes, and two bikes were seized.
