A 35-year-old Doncaster man accused of abducting a 14-year-old girl has been remanded in custody.
The teenager disappeared from her home last month. She was found four days later by police in central London, where John Bush was arrested.
Bush appeared before a judge at Sheffield Crown Court yesterday charged with child abduction.
He is also accused of making off without payment from a hotel in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.
Bush, of Moss Road, Askern, was arrested last month after a nationwide search for the girl.
He was remanded in custody and told by Judge Peter Kelson that he will appear again at Sheffield Crown Court on September 19 for a plea and case management hearing.
A provisional trial date was fixed for November 25. There was no application for bail.
Bush stood in the dock flanked by a security officer for the 10-minute hearing.
Wearing a navy blue T-shirt and with a pair of glasses on his head, he spoke only to confirm his name.
Bush is charged under the Child Abduction Act 1984.
