Crash on M1 near Sheffield closes two lanes

Emergency services have been deployed to a road traffic collision on the M1 near Sheffield this morning.

Highways England tweeted at 7.22am today, Friday, December 18, that two lanes have been closed on the M1 northbound J35 near Thorpe Hesley to J35A near Stocksbridge due to the ongoing incident.

Traffic officers are also currently at the scene and South Yorkshire Police Operations are on their way to the area to assist.

Motorists have been warned of delays as they approach this area.
