The following people have appeared at Doncaster Magistrate’s Court:

BALBY: A 21-year-old who admitted handling a stolen phone has been ordered to pay a £335 fine. Simon Paul Manterfield, of Kent Road, was also ordered to pay £500 in compensation to the woman whose phone was taken, a £15 victim surcharge fee and £85 costs.

TOWN CENTRE: A thief has been ordered to serve six weeks in the joint after admitting stealing meat. Tony Lee Reckless, 32, of Lennox Road, was jailed after admitting taking £30.40 worth of meat from a Co-op store. Magistrates took the decision to jail Reckless as he was not willing to consider community punishments.

TOWN CENTRE: A 30-year-old who admitted stealing £13 of beer has been handed a fine. Alec Laird of Stewart Street, was given a £40 fine after being caught taking the beer from a Fiveways store on February 23.

EDLINGTON: A 33-year-old who pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly has been fined £50. Kim Bartliff of Princes Crescent, admitted using drunken and threatening behaviour in Doncaster on March 13. She was also told to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service, but magistrates chose not to impose a drinking banning order.
