A popular Doncaster pub and restaurant has been forced to close its doors because it is ‘not viable’ to remain open during the coronavirus pandemic.

Pastures Lodge in Pastures Road, Mexborough announced the shutdown on Facebook.

The post said: “It is with regret that we have to announce with immediate effect Pastures Lodge will be closed for the foreseeable future, as it is not viable for us to remain open in this current climate, and our priority is to keep all of our customers and staff safe.

“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
