Companies urged to get their names known at festival

ORGANISERS of The Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival are calling on local businesses to get behind the event by putting their company name to a barrel of beer.

Sponsoring a barrel costs £100, and any firm that decides to take up the offer will receive 15 free entry tickets for one of the festival preview evenings.

They will also get commemorative glasses which offers free re-entry to the first two days of the festival.

If a business reserves their barrel before December 31, they will receive an additional 10 per cent discount.

Festival organiser Stephen Burns said: “The Rotherham Real Ale and Music Festival is a truly unique event that brings together the whole community in order to raise money for local good causes.

“We are calling on local businesses to help us make 2012 – our twentieth anniversary - a year to remember.

“We have already got an exciting line up of Real Ales and entertainment lined up, and with their support we are hoping to make the festival as memorable as ever.”

He added: “Our sponsor packages are designed to give something to businesses of every budget.

“In previous years we have benefited from support from companies across South Yorkshire, from sole traders right up to some of the biggest and most well known companies in the local area. It’s a win-win.”

Next year’s event, which takes place between February 29 and March 3 at the Magna Centre, will mark the event’s 20th anniversary.

Entitled ‘Baas of Steel’, the festivl will bring together a unique collection of over 230 different real ales, which will be chosen from Britain’s steel producing towns and cities.

All barrels and adverts can be ordered online via the festival’s website:
