Community cash available for Misterton and West Stockwith groups

Grants are awarded for community activities within Bassetlaw, which will benefit the community. The council will consider applications for activities that fall under the following categories: sports; culture and heritage; environment and sustainability; social welfare; and community.

Applications will only be accepted once the activity has been discussed with Coun Brand, who added: “So far, I have had two applications for grants. That means there’s over £500 left for community groups to bid for.”

The application form is on the BDC website (www.bassetlaw.gov.uk), along with further details on eligibility criteria.

She added: “I look forward to more applications that will benefit the people of Misterton and West Stockwith.”
