EVERYONE is invited to a meeting and charity event geared around re-forming the once popular Doncaster Show.
Members of the Lions community groups in the borough and Doncaster Deaf Trust have teamed up to stage the entertaining two-day festival in the hope of making it an annual attraction.
The show, which has been previously based at a number of venues including Town Field, Cantley Park and Cusworth Hall, has not been staged for around the last ten years.
However, plans are in place to rebirth the family fun festival boasting classic car shows, emergency services demonstrations, pet competitions and stalls.
Entertainers are needed for the festival - scheduled to take place on September 1 and 2 - whether its dog shows, circus acts or musical groups as well as crafts people and children’s rides operators.
Organisers are holding a planning meeting at the deaf trust’s headquarters along Leger Way tomorrow at 8pm.
People interested in having stalls at the event are welcome to come along.
There is also a race night set to take place again at the same venue on Saturday, starting at 7.30pm.
If you would like to find out more information or get involved in the show, call Barry Goforth on 01302 853055 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
