Today will continue to be much brighter than recent days with sunny spells. A dry day for many although the odd shower can be expected, some turning wintry over the Pennines. Brisk winds will make it feel quite cold. Maximum Temperature 7C.

Tonight:

Mainly dry with clear spells to start the night and remaining breezy. Cloud amounts increasing after midnight with scattered showers developing, some wintry over the Pennines. Winds easing. Minimum Temperature 2C.

Rather cloudy through the morning with showery rain and some snow over the Pennines. Becoming drier and brighter for the afternoon with sunshine for most but feeling cold. Maximum Temperature 6C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Bright and frosty to start on Friday, clouding over with wet and windy conditions and hill snow arriving overnight and for Saturday. Sunday, drier and brighter but cold and windy.
