Around 20,000 people are expected to travel to town centre to catch a glimpse of what is now a festive icon - the Coca Cola truck.
The Coca-Cola Christmas truck arrived in the Market Square at 1pm this afternoon and will stay until 9pm.
Hundreds of people are already queuing for their chance to get a photo in front of the famous truck.
This year, the drinks brand has added an extra sprinkling of magic with a new-look truck tour experience.
Visitors can expect a winter wonderland setting after 5pm, and all have been offered a can of Coca-Cola Classic, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar or Diet Coke.
When the sun sets this evening, the truck is expected to really come to life. Spectators will enjoy a screening of a short Christmas animation, which will be projected on to the side of truck to celebrate the festive season.
Councillor Bill Mordue, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Culture, said the truck had brought festive spirit in to the borough.
The holidays will really be coming to Doncaster when the iconic Coca-Cola Christmas truck and its winter wonderland visit the market place.
“Some say that the truck marks the unofficial countdown to Christmas and I believe it will bring the Christmas spirit and increased footfall to the area.
“We are pleased that we have been chosen and I know that the residents and visitors to the town will be very enthusiastic to see it.”
Doncaster is just one of 43 stops the truck will make up and down the country in the run up to the big day this year. This is, however, the first time the ever popular truck has visited the town.
For the first time ever, Twitter users have also been invited to welcome the truck in to their own home, or at least their own computer screens, particularly those who may not have a chance to go see it today.
Anyone tweeting with the hashtag #HolidaysAreComing between now and December 25 will see the Coca-Cola Christmas truck appear in their tweet.
