‘Sensory friendly’ film screenings will be shown for people with autism.

Doncaster’s Vue cinema is part of the ‘Autism Friendly Screenings’ which take place on the last Sunday of each month following its official launch on June 30.

The showings include adjustments such as eliminating adverts, lighting left on low and the sound turned down.

Debbie Ryde, general manager at Vue Doncaster, said: “At Vue Cinemas we are dedicated to providing all our customers with the best cinematic experience possible.

“We are delighted to be bringing autism friendly screenings to our customers as it will mean those who were previously unable to attend can now witness films on the big screen, receiving the ultimate viewing experience specifically tailored to their needs.”
