Cilla Black, portrayed by Isle star Sheridan Smith, has died, aged 72

Cilla Black portrayed in a recent TV series by Isle superstar Sheridan Smith has died at her home in Spain.

The superstar whose impressive career spanned over 50 years is believed to have died at her home in Spain last night.

A Spanish police spokeswoman said: “I can confirm the death of British national Priscilla White, aged 72.”

The 72-year-old had recently praised Epworth actress Sheridan Smith for her ITV portayal in the award-winning three-part drama “Cilla” calling her “teriffic”.

Sheridan has yet to react to the news of Cilla Black’s death on socail media.
