The Trust, which provides support to children, young people and families living in Doncaster, wanted to raise vital cash for charities that also help to support the local community.

Doncaster Children’s Service Trust Chief Executive Paul Moffat said: “We are really proud to be supporting such a worthy cause that helps so many families from our area, at a time when they need it the most.

“We’ve already kick-started our efforts to raise money for the hospice thanks to Doncaster Rovers Football Club who kindly donated a signed football by Andy Butler to raffle off at our Celebrating Success Awards last month. And we will be planning many more events throughout the year.”

Helen Mower, Head of Fundraising at Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, said: “It is fantastic to have the support of Doncaster Children’s Service Trust throughout the next year. We are very grateful and would like to say a huge thank-you.

“Bluebell Wood needs to raise £3m a year and we depend upon community and corporate support to raise these vital funds.”

Throughout the year the Trust will raise funds for the charity through a series of events. The money raised will help support the hospice to continue to provide services to support families.
