Frenchgate Shopping Centre is recruiting for a team of children to test out all the facilities and events for youngsters at Frenchgate – with a team of lucky winners becoming appointed as ‘Official Fun Makers’.
Children are being invited to apply to test out all the facilities and events for youngsters at Frenchgate – with a team of lucky winners becoming appointed as ‘Official Fun Makers’.
Alongside the children’s soft play area on the upper mall, Kiddy Cars, a kids’ fun club and Frenchie, the centre mascot, Frenchgate also holds special kids’ event throughout the year such as school holidays.
To help make the events even better and to give feedback on facilities, the centre is now looking for a team of ‘fun makers’ made up of local kids who love to come along to Frenchgate with their parents.
The children’s free soft play area, Frenchie’s Fun Zone, which recently moved from the food mall to make way for a new restaurant to the upper mall near the customer toilets, has been a huge success. Plus the introduction of new ‘Kiddy Cars’ and Frenchie’s Fun Club – the home of mascot Frenchie – have also been a hit with parents.
Kiddy Cars were introduced before Christmas to make shopping more for fun for Frenchgate’s youngest visitors. The pint-sized vehicles can be pushed around while the grown-ups do the shopping, and are also equipped with trolleys to carry bags, too.
Lauren Sims, marketing assistant at the centre, said: “We launched Frenchie’s Fun Club in October half term and it has had a great response from our young visitors. Members get a passbook in which they can collect stamps for treats but by just being a member they get exclusive access to upcoming news, events and exclusive offers.
“We want kids to really interact with what’s on offer at Frenchgate by telling us what they enjoy about our facilities, what keeps them entertained and what they’d like to see us introduce in the future.”
