A child has been taken to hospital following a collision with a car outside a Doncaster school this morning.

Police were called at just before 8.20am this morning following reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a car at the junction of York Road and Jossey Lane in Scawthorpe, near to the entrance to Don Valley Academy.
A spokesman said that a 12 year old child was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
It is not clear if the child involved was a pupil at Don Valley.
