Transport police are appealing for more information on the theft of a bike from Doncaster train station.

Officers at British Transport Police have released CCTV images (pictured right) of a man they would like to speak to about theft, which took place on October 1 at 6.24pm.

Investigating officer PC Helen White said: “The victim was running for her train which had arrived on platform five. Once she had boarded she stored her orange folding Brompton bike, worth £950, in the front carriage cycle rack. A man then removed the bike from the rack, left the train and exited the station on the victim’s bike.

Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call BTP on 0800 40 50 40.
