“It is believed he then turned left into an alley, cut through an open gate and into Cross Street.
“Despite an extensive search by the armed response team and police helicopter, the suspect has not been traced.
“A 35 year-old Crowle man initially arrested in connection with the incident has been released without charge.

Detective constable Mark Davey said: “It is a worry that someone is walking into shops with a knife and we really want to catch this guy.
“This is a very serious incident and all of our investigation is being fast-tracked to get to the bottom of who is responsible.
“The route he took from the scene would need local knowledge. It is not someone who thought ‘I’m off somewhere remote’.
“I’d appeal to anyone who knows anything about what happened that night to get in touch.”
