The Vauxhall Corsa went up in flames on the A1 last night.
South Yorkshire Police said: “The charred metal used to be a Vauxhall Corsa, bought only a few days before by the gent that was driving.
“When the car cut out on him, he managed to get the hard shoulder before it burst into flames.
“Thankfully he managed to get well clear.”
