Cancer patients to benefit from Mayor’s charity night

The Mayor of Crowle and Ealand, Coun Ron Stewart, has chosen two charities close to his heart to benefit from his Mayor’s party, to take place in April.

This customary event allows the Mayor to invite people who have brought benefit and services to the community, to a fundraising social evening.

Mr Stewart said: “Given my medical history over the past decade I have chosen to support those involved in caring for those stricken by cancer. In that regard I have chosen not one, but two local beneficiaries. Those are Ward 18, Scunthorpe General Hospital and Lyndsey Lodge Hospice, which both support the local population.” A raffle will help to raise cash for the coffers.
