Butcher's second recall of out-of-date meat

A Yorkshire-based butcher has been forced to recall a second batch of products over another label error.

The family-run firm warns packs of its pork sausages were sold with an incorrect "use by" date and could pose a potential health risk if eaten.

Sykes House Farm's affected products are 380g packs of Yorkshire Outdoor Six Pork Sausages; Batch code: 166-5; Barcode: 5060182241009. The packs carry a best before date of 25 July 2016 but should have been dated 25 June 2016.

Company chiefs have urged anyone who bought the product not to eat it and return it to the store where it was purchase or call its customer relations team on 0800 0686 727.
