Busy night for firefighters in Doncaster

A number of incidents were attended by firefighters in Doncaster overnight.

The first saw Dearne firefighters called out to a grassland fire at 7.45pm on Bolton Street in Denaby Main. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately and the crew left the scene at 8.30pm.

Firefighters from Edlington station attended a deliberate rubbish fire at 8.10pm also in Denaby Main but on Pitman Road. They were only there for 20 minutes.

Maltby firefighters were called out to a fire in woodlands at 9.15pm on Tickhill Road in Bawtry. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The crew left the scene at 11pm.

Firefighters from Thorne station attended a deliberate rubbish fire at 9.15pm on Wormley Hill Lane in Sykehouse, coming away at 9.45pm.

Doncaster firefighters were also called out to a deliberate rubbish fire at 9.25pm on Market Street in Highfields. They left the scene at 10.10pm.
