A meeting is to be held at Rotherham Town Hall on Tuesday, June 16 to try to secure the support of more firms and traders.
Sergeant Katherine Wallis, of South Yorkshire Police, will outline a joint project involving the FSB, the police, local authorities and the National Working Group Network - a charity sharing best practice between agencies tackling child sexual exploitation.
Police Community Safety Officer Jemma Guinn, from Rotherham Safer Neighbourhodd Team, will discuss an internet-based scheme in Rotherham, where businesses are allowed access to information on the activities of those convicted of criminal offences, in a bid to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour.
Businesses registerrd as partners in the scheme can gain information on the movements and activities of persistent offenders who have been issued with banning orders from, pubs, shops and bus stations.
The aim is to hekp them keep one step ahead of the criminals.
