The “quality content” of a building supplier’s new website has been judged the best of its kind by an industry magazine.
Thorne-based Howarth Timber won the website of the year category in this year’s Timber Trades Journal Awards and accepted a prize plaque from TV property expert Sarah Beeny.
The firm’s Neale Brewster said: “This really is the accolade we wanted. Our industry has recognised that we have an impressive presence on the internet.
“Our web development team has worked extremely hard and their efforts have now been rewarded in the best possible way,” he added.
The judging panel described Howarth Timber as a perfect example of a company embracing the web to effectively promote its brand, services and products to produce content that was refreshingly informative.
The branch on South Parade is part of the Howarth Timber Group which has 28 outlets throughout the UK and is the country’s largest privately-owned timber business.
