A solicitor at a Doncaster law firm has been shortlisted for a national award.
Sarah Naylor, 32, who works at Atherton Godfrey in Hall Gate, has made it through to the final stage of the Rising Star category of the Claims Innovation Awards to be held in Manchester on June 4.
The awards aim to recognise how individuals, teams and firms across the legal services industry constantly strive to find new ways of raising standards, growing business and improving access to justice.
The Rising Star category looks for someone who is a shining light within the industry and exemplifies best practice.
Sarah impressed the judging panel with her swift career progression, innovation and commitment to promoting the work of the industry.
She started as a trainee working in the firm’s personal injury team.
Since she qualified in 2007, Sarah has gone on to receive two promotions and is now head of the civil litigation team, which deals with employment, dispute resolution, professional negligence and public law work.
Sarah’s skill and knowledge of the law, coupled with her drive and determination, has ensured success in building up a diverse caseload and has gained her an excellent reputation within the industry.
Diane Parker, head of personal injury and the firm’s training principal, praised Sarah for her work.
She said: ”It was clear from our first meeting with Sarah, that she has a very bright future in law.
“She is a perfect role model and mentor; her enthusiasm is reflected in the attitude of her team members and in their professional achievements.
“It continues to be a particularly challenging time in the legal sector.”
She added: “But Sarah has been instrumental in broadening our service offering, which has produced positive results for our clients.
“We hope the judges value Sarah’s achievements as much as we do and recognise her as the star that she certainly is.”
