A REGENERATION body has appointed a new chief executive. Ben McCall has officially taken over the hot seat of Doncaster Central Development Trust (DCDT) which is taking over responsibility for helping to breathe new life into fives areas of the borough from New Deal for Communities (NDC).
The 48-year-old has was appointed deputy chief executive of of NDC in 2006 and became acting boss three years later.
He takes over at DCDT after the body was set up to continue the work of its predecessor which comes to and end this year.
NDC was given £52 million of Government money to improve neighbourhoods in Balby Bridge, Nether Hall, Hyde Park, Hexthorpe and the town centre over ten years.
Mr McCall said: “NDC has benefited from some fantastic people, in both its residents, the staff who run the programme and the partners we have worked alongside.
“As chief executive my aim is to ensure that NDC’s impact on educational achievement, crime reduction, better housing and environment, improved health, jobs, skills and local enterprise is sustained by the trust.”
