A landmark former pub building looks set to be converted into a restaurant, shop and flats.

Doncaster Council has received an application to make changes to the former Park Hotel site on Carr House Road.

The pub, which occupies a high-profile site on one of the main roads into the town centre, was once a favourite matchday haunt for Doncaster Rovers fans.

It was one of the closest pubs to the club’s former Belle Vue stadium, before the move to the Keepmoat Stadium

The proposal is for a restaurant and retail use for the ground floor.

The upstairs section of the building would be converted into 10 flats, spread across both the first and second floors of the building.
