AN ENTREPRENEUR who has found success in business against all odds is to have her achievements recognised at an international convention for young business leaders.
Mum of three Kelly Currie, 26, set up the Be Envied Bridal Studio, based at Carcroft Enterprise Park, in February
Despite early setbacks when she was turned down for investment from banks and lenders, Kelly finally got her company off the ground with the help of start-up specialists A4e who nominated her for a competition run by One Young World, a global forum for young, high-calibre business brains which is backed by former Dragon’s Den tycoon Doug Richard.
Kelly has beaten entrepreneurs from across the globe to make the final three of the contest will give a presentation in Switzerland next month which tells the story of her rise from unemployment to business acclaim alongside Doug.
Kelly said: “It would be fantastic to be taken under Doug’s wing as I don’t know many people with experience in business. One Young World would be able to offer me a lot of help, such as with setting up a website.
“I’ve been in business for six wonderful months and have loved every second. It’s a dream come true for me and I aim to be the name on the lips of every bride in Doncaster,” said Kelly who has a degree in fashion and textiles.
