Hands-on students bag some global support

STUDENTS from across Rotherham and the Dearne are to benefit from links with an international company.

Rotherham College of Arts and Technology has teamed up with international hand tool manufacturer, SNA Europe, to provide new opportunities for construction and electrical students.

The global company, whose UK branch is based at Rotherham, has come forward to work hand in hand with both students and the college.

The experience gained will, it is hoped, help students when they come to seek future employment.

SNA Europe has designed and manufactured tools for over 125 years and their brand offers high quality and ergonomically designed hand tools.

The company presented students with 500 goody bags full of information, stationery, a professional tape measure and a discount card for further purchases.

Gordon McCabe, deputy head of the college’s construction department said: “This is a great opportunity for our department and for students to have the chance to work with some quality tools.

“There are further plans to get SNA Europe involved with the students.”
