PEOPLE keen to use renewable energy can now have the latest `green’ boiler installed by a local supplier.
Green Energy Solutions (GES) of Bentley has been accredited to install biomass boilers - an energy source seen as a major factor in the bid to cut carbon emissions in line with government targets.
Marcus Payne, managing director of GES, said: “It’s no secret that the fossil energy sources like oil and coal we use nowadays will be totally exhausted in the not too distant future.
“Biomass boilers are a very environmentally-friendly, safe and convenient way of heating the home using wood pellets as fuel.”
According to GES, wood-fuelled boilers can save customers almost £600 a year compared to electric heating and they will also benefit from a £950 Renewable Heat Premium Payment if installation is carried out before the end of March this year.
The Renewable Heat Incentive is now available for all commercial biomass installations and will soon be available for domestic properties as part of the Government’s proposed Green Deal.
Renewable technologies can be seen in operation at the company’s showroom at Jupiter Park on Bentley Road.
