A Doncaster hotel is to receive a £200,000 makeover later this year.
The Travelodge hotel, which is located on the A1 Great North Road, Carcroft, will be given the revamp in Autumn, as part of the company’s nationwide £100 million brand modernisation programme.
The revamp will include a new room design which has been created by customers.
It will see new luxury king-sized beds and tuckle beds for children being put in rooms.
There will also be a new blue colour scheme in each room, a contemporary white en-suite bathroom, reading lamps above the bed and a larger desk area.
The reception will also be updated as part of the refurbishment.
Work at the 40-room hotel is expected to take three weeks.
Donna Wilkinson, Doncaster Travelodge Hotel Manager said: “We are well underway with our plans for modernising our hotels for our customers and it is great news that Doncaster Travelodge is to benefit.”
“In 2014, at Doncaster Travelodge we enjoyed double digit growth due to the rise in business and leisure customers switching to us.
“ Our new modernised hotel will ensure that we continue to grow sales and become the favourite hotel for value in the area.”
Doncaster Travelodge opened in 1993 and currently employs 15 people.
