New roadworks are set to affect motorists using Doncaster’s motorway network this week.
Barrier works are scheduled to take place on the M18 on the southbound carriageway between Junction 5 at North Ings and Junction 4 at Armthorpe, which will be closed overnight on Wednesday, November 6, between 8pm and 6am, with a signed diversion via the local road network.
The northbound carriageway will then be closed overnight on Thursday, November 7, between 8pm and 6am, with a signed diversion.
In addition, one lane will be closed with hard shoulder running, narrower lanes and a 50mph speed limit in both directions over 24 hours from November 7 until December 23.
Resurfacing of the westbound carriageway of the M180 between Junction 2 at Woodhouse and Junction 1 at Tudworth will cause it to be closed for five nights from Monday, November 4, between 8pm and 6am. A signed diversion will be in place.
Elsewhere in South Yorkshire, there will be drainage and barrier work on the M1 between Junction 28 and 31, with one lane in both directions will be closed with hard shoulder running and there will be narrower lanes and a 50 mph speed limit over 24 hours until 2014.
In addition, the southbound exit slip road at junction 30 will be closed overnight on Tuesday, November 5, with a signed diversion route via junction 29.
One lane of the M1 between junction 34 (Tinsley) to junction 35a (Stocksbridge) in both directions will be closed for drainage and barrier work, with hard shoulder running, and there will be narrower lanes and a 50 mph speed limit over 24 hours until November 25.
