New research has revealed how over 85 percent of job seekers use their mobile phone when searching for a job.
Statistics released by recruitment firm, Navartis Ltd also showed how 65 percent of job seekers search for available positions on their mobile phone while another 47 percent of job seekers will apply for those jobs on their phone.
In order to cater for the growing number of job seeker who use their mobile phones, Navartis Ltd have launched a new site, specifically for use on a mobile, which uses GPS to locate jobs within a close proximity, or the area searched.
Director of Navartis, Jim Sloan said: “Our new advances in technology will allow candidates to find real-time information on job opportunities worldwide at the click of a button, ensuring that applications can be made immediately and therefore increasing job prospects for those tech savvy candidates, making job hunting via pages and pages of newspapers a thing of the past”
