Charity events during Coun Eddie Dobbs period of office as Doncaster’s civic mayor raised over £8,000, he has revealed.

Fundraisers helped raise the cash for The Partially Blind Society and the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA).

Mr Dobbs will accept cheques from fundraising events which were held whilst he was in the post.
The cheque presentations will be held at the Mansion House on Wednesday 13 August.

Kenny and Karen Bonsall will be attending, who raised money for the Charity Fund in aid of SSAFA, via the Lee Bonsall Memorial Trust, in memory of their son.

SSAFA provide caseworkers who try to support those who are experiencing these difficulties.

Mr Dobbs said: “I am proud to be able to accept these cheques and grateful to everyone who helped raise this money for these wonderful charities.”

The Partially Blind Society will receive £729 and the SSAFA will be presented with £7,729.
