A new burger bar and American-themed diner is to open in Doncaster town centre.
NYC Bar and Grill, which already has a restaurant in Bawtry, has announced plans to open a new outlet on the corner of Wood Street and Cleveland Street in 2015.
The venue will open in premises formerly occupied by Liberty Grill, a similarly themed US restaurant, which closed its doors earlier this year.
Posters advertising for new staff have already gone up in the windows of the building, which used to be the Tonik bar.
A statement on the restaurant’s website said: “It started with a dream that turned into a reality.
“The idea was to form a great forward-thinking American restaurant brand that would be known for providing great attentive customer service with smiley friendly faces while serving the freshest modern American food the NYC way – using numerous bespoke in-house recipes, unique to us which makes our food taste the way it does.”
The first NYC restaurant opened in Bawtry in December 2013 – and bosses say they haven’t looked back.
A spokesman said: “With our second restaurant planned to open in early 2015 and other sites planned for the back end of 2015 and early 2016, everyone will soon be getting the chance to sample NYC, if they haven’t already.”
The restaurant’s menu includes burgers, ribs, steak and chicken.
It is the latest in a series of restaurant openings in Doncaster in recent weeks.
Pizza Express opened a new branch alongside the Vue cinema at Lakeside earlier this month and popular global chicken chain Nando’s is also set to open a restaurant at the same site next month.
The Filling Station, another American-themed diner, has opened at the former premises of Cafe Med on East Laith Gate.
And for traditionalists, Harry’s Fish Restaurant has opened at Dunsville.
