Building in Crowle set to reopen after a £100K facelift

North Lincolnshire Council ward member for Crowle, Coun John Briggs said internal refurbishment of the historic building was almost at an end and he expected it to open to the public within the next few weeks.

The £100,000 facelift of the building in Market Place has seen full disabled access put in place, new disabled ramps and a lift to the first floor.

He is now urging traders to make it a base for their business and for the community to get involved in its occupation and added: “Many months of work have gone into upgrading this building. It’s exciting to see that at long last all the hard work has come to fruition and this historic building will reopen soon.”

Coun Briggs has been instrumental, along with others, in getting the development up and running and said: “I am continuing to send messages out for inward investment and to the wider business community saying come and join us in Crowle, there’s a real opportunity for the future.

“The place is buzzing and transforming before people’s eyes and it provides a great opportunity for the business world to come on board and make things happen.”

Coun Briggs further added: “If people want to be part of the terrific planned future for this part of Crowle they should get in touch with North Lincolnshire Council through its website and by going to the Crowle development land section.

“There are plans to use the first floor as a community cinema, but there are also plans to use the building for youth services and much more.”
