A broken window at a Doncaster town centre record shop has been fixed after a benefit concert and a crowdfunding appeal were held to raise £500 to carry out the repairs.
A public appeal and benefit concert were set up to raise £500 for Simon Saynor, owner of the Notorious Aardvark record shop, after a window at his Waterdale store was broken last month.
Dozens of members of the public donated the cash needed to carry out repairs and a benefit concert was also held at Cask Corner pub to help bolster the appeal.
The window has now been fixed and the shop is back in business.
Posting on Facebook after the attack by "mindless idiots" he thanked those who had come to his aid and said: "I am truly overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity of so many people.
"Not gonna lie, I've cried a lot. I am truly blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life. "I just want to say thank you all so much. From the bottom of my dodgy heart. Thank you xxxxx"
A crowdfunding appeal - where members of the public donate cash to support various causes - was set up after the window at the vinyl and rarities store was smashed.
