BREAKING: Police on the scene after man is stabbed in Doncaster town centre

Police are on the scene after a man was stabbed in Doncaster town centre.

An eyewitness told the Free Press a man had been attacked in an alleyway between Priory Walk and Cleveland Street this evening.

The cordon was put in place at around 5.20pm as officers, including crime scene investigators, carry out enquries around the area.

One man who didn't wish to be named said: "There's loads of police on the scene, about four or five police vehicles. Officers in white suits have cordoned off some of the High Street from Subway down to the bank. They've been focusing on an area near a bench."
