BREAKING: Person found dead at South Yorkshire care village

The person died suddenly at Hesley Village in the countryside close to Tickhill, Doncaster.

Their sex and age, and details of how they died, have not been disclosed at this stage.

The residential centre in Stripe Road is home to around 80 adults who receive help to lead more independent lives.

David Maynard, business development director at Hesley Group, which runs the care village, said: "It was a sudden and unexpected death, and our thoughts and condolences go out to the family and staff who supported the person concerned.

"It is now a matter of investigation for the coroner's office and it would not be appropriate to comment further at this stage."
