A TEENAGER and man have appeared in court following a stabbing in a Doncaster home.

Detectives are investigating the incident which happened at a property in St John’s Road, Balby.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged with assault following the incident.

He appeared at Doncaster Magistrates’ Court on Friday and was bailed with conditions.

The 15-year-old cannot be named because he is a minor, a spokesman for South Yorkshire Police told the Free Press.

A 35-year-old man named as James Thomas Corry, of St John’s Road, Balby, was also arrested on the same day as the teenager.

He was charged with assault and false imprisonment.

He has been remanded in custody, following his appearance in court.

Both are due to appear at Doncaster Crown Court on February 17.

Police and paramedics were called to an address in St John’s Road following reports of a disturbance on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 31.
