Book of condolence opens for Doncaster tourism manager

Residents are being invited to sign a book of condolence for Doncaster tourism manager Colin Joy following his sudden death.

Mr Joy, aged 52, who dedicated years of his life helping to put Doncaster on the map and boosting tourism in the borough died last week.

A book of condolence will be available at Doncaster Tourist Information Centre at 1 Priory Pl, Doncaster for residents to leave tribute comments.

The book will be available during normal office hours - Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5pm and Saturday 10am to 3pm

Mayor of Doncaster Ros Jones said: "I am shocked and saddened to hear of Colin’s death. He was a very popular figure head for Doncaster Tourism and a great ambassador for the town."

The circumstances surrounding his death are unknown at this stage.
