Members of Scunny Bikers - included many from the Isle - will be paying a whistle-stop tour to the hospital on Saturday December 20 at 1pm to deliver a bumper load of toys to the unit. They will be leaving the Old Farmhouse pub, Doncaster Road, at 12.30pm.

The annual event is aimed at bringing a bit of festive cheer to poorly patients at Christmas time. The bikers also organise an annual Easter egg run every year as well.

Ward manager Sharon Vickers said: “We are always extremely grateful to Scunny Bikers for their kind donations. It helps to bring a smile to our young patients’ faces when we hand out the goodies.”

If anyone, or any business, would like to make a donation of a toy to the Scunny Bikers in aid of the Disney ward then they should contact organiser Gavin Stubbs on (07840) 047965. Or they can leave a donation with the Old Farmhouse pub.
