Plans are in place for the next Epworth Music Day, but more volunteers would be welcomed.

The June 18 event takes place at venues in and around Epworth, and has become a popular fixture in the Isle, growing in popularity every year.

This year, more stewards are needed to help during the day at various venues and at the car park in South Axholme.

Anyone who can assist for any length of time during the day between 10am and 5pm, or who knows someone else who may be able to help, should contact John Lambert tel 01427 872466 or email [email protected]

Epworth Music Day is a completely free music, dance and song event. Last year around 1000 people enjoyed the day’s entertainment, with many also turning out for evening music at St Andrew’s Church and the Queen’s Head.

Epworth’s Kyber Restaurant has joined other businesses to become an event sponsor. And the Mowbray Arms pub, with new landlord Lewis Dillon, is to host performances this year.
